Cobb County Schools

The Cobb County School District is the county government agency which operates public schools in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. The school district includes all of Cobb County except for the Marietta City Schools. It is the second-largest school system in Georgia and among the largest in the United States, with a current enrollment of 107,425. Its student population grows by nearly 2,000 each year, and with 15,676 full-time employees that help at the local schools or are part of it (this is not counting office employees) (404,747) in all, nearly 8,800 of whom are teachers , the district is the county’s and state's largest employer and one of the largest in the US (at least in school systems). All Cobb County schools are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the district is among the first to have earned district-wide accreditation.
