Sales Account Executive

Scope
The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for managing and growing a customer base to achieve growth projections in an assigned territory or with specific accounts. Primary emphasis for this position is to acquire new commercial, industrial and institutional customers, develop relationships with architects/engineers and contractors. A key emphasis will be to expand the Automated Logic influence with consulting engineers and contractors to identify and qualify key opportunities.
Duties
Under general direction of the Sales Management team, this individual will be responsible for all aspects of the sales process including but not limited to:
•Has a good understanding of business fundamentals and can articulate technical solutions in business terms to high level buying influences in customers’ organizations
•Develops and uses an account development plan for each key customer and supports customer’s goals and objectives
•Sales presentations and product demonstrations
•Will Estimate, Negotiate and Quote/Bid projects varying in complexity and size
•Demonstrate ability to act in a self-directed manner to accomplish assigned goals and objectives
•Ability and confidence to initiate contacts and pursue opportunities in a non-threatening manner portraying the company in the role of system experts in HVAC controls and energy management
•Identify vertical market leaders, networks, and participate in strategic trade associations
•Planning sales activities and forecasting
•Work well within a team environment
•Stay current with local business trends and market demands
•Keeps current on company and competitive products
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience in sales of DDC/EMS or HVAC controls
•Knowledgeable in DDC control theory applications pertaining to the HVAC industry
•Strong writing, communication & presentation skills
•Strong ability to solve financial and business problems for customers by providing high level solutions in a conceptual manner
•Must have valid state motor vehicle license and safe driving record
•Experience with Microsoft Windows XP/Vista and Microsoft Office
•Experience with Automated Logic product line is preferred
•Knowledge of Minnesota marketplace a plus
•PE license is a plus
•LEED AP is a plus
