Dakota County Technical College
Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a public two year college located in Rosemount . DCTC enrolls over 3200 students annually and is an active partner in the “green” initiatives.
DCTC, built in 1970, had much of the HVAC systems controlled pneumatically. The initial installation intent was to replace the pneumatic receiver/controllers with DDC controllers on the major air delivery systems. The heating and cooling plants were operated based on the requests for heating/cooling demands. A new operator workstation was installed for scheduling, trending and monitoring functionality. Over the years, the pneumatic devices were replaced with electric/electronic devices. The dedicated computer operator workstation was replaced with a WebCTRL gateway. The college continues to expand the building automation system when new HVAC equipment is added.
