MCTC
Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) is a public two-year college located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. MCTC enrolls over 13,000 credit students annually and is an active partner in initiatives designed to strengthen the social, economic and cultural vitality of the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
The college upgraded the original PC-workstation based graphical user interface to the Internet-accessible and server-based WebCTRL software. This upgrade was simply accomplished by migrating 14-year old programming and PC-based graphics, alarm messaging and database to the platform-independent WebCTRL. Operators benefited from simplified scheduling methods, advanced alarm monitoring and trending and reporting features as well as easier off-site technical support capabilities of the new software with no changes to the existing field hardware or network.
