Colonial Williamsburg
The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation oversees all maintenance, utilities, events and any other areas relating to the preservation of the Colonial Williamsburg outdoor living museum. The site contains approximately eighty historic buildings throughout the campus with many of these sites open to the public for exhibition. The Colonial Williamsburg campus continues to be one of the most visited historic areas in the nation.
Automated Logic's Part: Our controls are integrated into dozens of campus buildings. Because of the historic nature of this site, many steps have been taken to ensure all mechanical equipment used in renovations are tucked away out of public view. Most buildings utilize water source heat pumps served by three water wells linked through miles of underground piping, which our system controls and monitors continously. Moisture content of several buildings' wall cavities are monitored because of the age of the structures so that personnel can be alerted as soon as possible should any issues arise. Colonial Williamsburg Foundation was the first AERO customer to undergo a complete, system-wide graphics upgrade. This allows them to utilize the full capabilities of the control system in a single easy to use graphical interface.
