Technical Information - How to edit the Welcome page

The database you created has a "Subform" design element named "WebHeader". You can edit this Subform with Domino Designer 6.5.x.
It includes an "XML" graphic that links to the RSS feed. The graphic is an "Image Resource" inside the database - xml.gif.

The RSS Feed is generated from the "Page" design element named "news.rss".

For technical details on RSS, start with the RSS specification.

Example Web Page

Automated Logic Corporation uses the template for our headlines page. Here's an example of the web page created by the template.

Lotus Notes client

Content is managed from a Lotus Notes client. Here's an example of the Form.
As with any Lotus Notes database, content creators can replicate the database for use off-line. Administrators could also make this a mail-in database, allowing users to submit content to the database from an email address, and then have it published.
