ALC manufactures standalone, microprocessor-based controllers that often perform the same functions as programmable logic controllers.  Although each controller is "standalone", it is intended that they be networked using ASHRAE standard BACnet communications throughout a building, campus or global enterprise, and can be interconnected with other building control systems.

ALC maintains partnerships with a number of quality companies who manufacture sensors, actuators, valves and other products. We feel that as the end user, you should be able to choose the types of field devices you feel are best suited for your individual facility.

ALC products are competitively priced; however, cost can vary greatly depending on the size and type of project. Several potential factors include: whether the system will be retrofitted to an existing facility or installed in new construction; whether the system will involve control at the individual zone level or simple control of the major pieces of equipment; and if there is a need to use specialized sensors for a certain application.

Since no two buildings are alike and the needs of each facility are different, there is no standard estimate for a typical system.
