Scope
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Provide leadership and management to the Operations teams and coordination of resources to successfully execute installation projects that meets the branch revenue and executed margin goal.
Have a strong understanding of the building automation systems business flow, including but not limited to relationship generation, field operations, financial understanding, and overall customer satisfaction mindset.
Responsible for the overall financial performance of the branch installation business, including project planning, revenue forecasting, A/R collections and re-estimating costs of installation projects.
Responsible for the overall quality of the project installation deliverable, customer satisfaction and managing branch installation business per company standards. Represents ALC and its interests in all decisions affecting daily operations.
Duties
-Responsible for the overall customer satisfaction and for the overall customer experience for the branch installation business. Coordinate with installation teams and other branch management positions to ensure the branch maintains a customer focused approach to daily operations.
-Coordinate as required with Operations Managers and Engineering Managers to develop FY business plan including revenue, manpower requirements, overhead costs associated, and training needs. Establish forecast to be presented to management on a monthly basis that focuses on backlog revenue and margin and manpower requirements by Operations Team.
-Support Operations Teams balance manpower requirements. Continuously interview candidates for all positions for Operations. Ensure development plans are in place for all members focused on technical competencies and customer satisfaction.
-Plan, organize and direct day to day operation of the operations teams to ensure portfolio revenue and margin plan are achieved. Identify areas for proces improvement and drive continuous productivity improvement into the branch.
-Effectively manages cash, costs, billings and receivables. Consistently oversees billings of each project manager's portfolio in a timely and accurate manner in a format that meets customer's expectations. Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow within the portfolio of contracts and projects. Effectively communicates financial status to branch management team. Analyzes financial, service manegemnt and other manegemtn reports to proactively identify problem areas and solutions. Adhere to branch AR process; meet with project managers monthly to review cash flow status of business.
-Responsible for overseeing the management of the hardware and software engineering teams. Promote coordination and feedback between the project managers, engineers and specialists.
-Responsble for ensuring that performance reviews and development plans are in place for all direct reports. Ensure that direct reports have performance reviews completed in a timely manner for all field team members.
-Responsible to ensure that all branch process items and approvals are followed regarding all service bookings. Responsible for review of contract terms and conditions as they apply to the projects.
-Ensure the Operations Teams meet all ALC Branch safety and ethics standards in a timely manner.
Qualifications
This position requires 4 – 6 years of prior project management experience in the building automation industry. Prior field experience is a plus. Candidate should have excellent communication skills and have a solid understanding of the construction installation process as it pertains to the building automation business.
