Scope
Responsible for the financial performance of major and/or multiple construction and retrofit projects. Develops and trains employees and subcontractors. Responsible for the quality of the installation and customer satisfaction, managing field engineering and specialists per company standards. Represents ALC NY/NJ and its interests in job-site decisions affecting daily operations. An expert in the area of project management techniques.
Duties
-Drive the Contractors and Sub-Contractors to maintain the schedule and resolve issues relevant to ALC NY/NJ. Submit a project schedule for our scope before installation commences.
-Assists Operations Manager/Supervisor in developing installation scheduling, staffing, strategic, tactical, and cost management plans.
-Analyzes financial, contract management and other management reports and tools to define project problems and solutions.
-High quality communication adhering to company standards.
-Follow-up RFI’s, Change Order Proposals on a weekly basis.
-Submit Change Order Proposals within 3 days of need or request.
-Gain written sign-off of systems and transmit warranty letter within 5 days of completion.
-Submit written updated Wrap-up list to contractor during last 25% of project, at least weekly.
-Document any jobsite construction issues within one business day.
-Responsible for customer approval of detailed job submittals created for the project.
-Minimize deliveries to the office.
-Properly coordinates and assigns technical resources for problem resolutions.
-Uses negotiation skills to consistently resolve disputes without the need for elevation.
-May assist sales in development of cost estimate on complex projects.
-Directs plan for manpower levels and team staffing.
-Ensures appropriate product training is available and implemented for skill gaps within System Specialist and sub-contractor staff to enable proper installation of Alerton product.
-Supervises troubleshooting and checkout of the system before release to the owner/operator.
-Ensures job completion documentation is completed and transition to service is achieved.
-Coordinates on-site visit for service personnel and ensures transition to service is achieved.
-Provides proper documentation and/or manuals for system operation.
-Assist sales in development of cost estimate on complex projects.
Qualifications
-Bachelors degree in engineering and ten years of work experience or an Associates degree with equivalent related work and engineering experience.
-Seven years exposure to construction industry and trade labor.
-Proven project management skill set and supervision experience.
-Excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with and solving a number of electrical and mechanical problems, often simultaneously.
-Ability to effectively represent ALC and communicate with customers and others at varying technical levels.
