Controls Installation Project Manager

Duties
Planning, designing, and managing the start-up and closeout of multiple projects. Assist other team members with troubleshooting job problems and assist with the estimating of projects. Is the main liaison with the customer. Responsible for quality of all jobs assigned and the direction of the installation labor force.
Qualifications
• Attends pre-booking meetings to evaluate the accuracy of the sales estimate. • Prepares all information on extras or change orders. • Analyzes plans, construction contracts specifications and codes to determine project requirements. • Responsible for organizing and maintaining the job folder and updating pertinent job related information. This includes the most recent schematics, submittals, sub-contracts, plans and schedules. • Prepares submittals, containing schematics, descriptions, and technical literature, as required on a per job basis. • Determines which items have long lead times or may result in installation problems. • Track materials on an ongoing basis to ensure their timely delivery to the job site. • Prepares and justifies engineering re-estimates. • Completes all requirements of project closeout documentation. • Directs and reviews the preparation of submittal booklets containing schematics, technical literature and operational instructions for the contractor and customer. • Selects and monitors the performance of subcontractors. • Keeps self, superiors and co-workers informed of progress • Supervises all installation work and field personnel, so that schedules are maintained and the projects proceed in accordance with plans and job specifications. • Keeps design documents current throughout project duration and prepares “asbuilt” record drawings and documents from data supplied by installation or other field personnel. • Must be able to utilize M.S.Word, Excel, Visio and MS project for project requirements and to aid in the assistance of others. • Attends team meetings as requested
