Automated Logic Corp. Acquires Chicago Dealer

KENNESAW, Ga., Nov. 1, 2006 – Automated Logic Corp. (ALC), a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), has acquired the business of Automated Control Technologies, Inc. (ACT), an ALC dealer serving the Greater Chicago marketplace. This is ALC’s second dealership acquisition in the Chicago area following its purchase of Controls Solutions, Inc. – Chicago in August of this year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ACT designs, installs and services building management and automated control systems for commercial, institutional and industrial facilities in the Chicago metropolitan area. It has been an ALC dealer since 1991. ACT Chief Executive Officer Greg Franzo and the firm’s management team and employees will continue in their respective roles under Automated Logic ownership.
