The North York General Hospital is a large urban hospital that provides acute, ambulatory and long-term care, and specialized geriatric services. The hospital is located in north Toronto and features over 400 acute beds and 170 LTC beds and treats over 30,000 patients each year. In 2013 the hospital received an excellence award for building and promoting healthy workplace practices. A recognized leader in energy conservation measures, Automated Logic recently undertook to assist the hospital Facilities staff with a series of refits to their mechanical and building automation systems that will yield substantial savings in utility costs. With Automated Logic’s assistance, the hospital has applied for grants and rebates used to offset the capital cost of investing in newer, more energy efficient HVAC and mechanical equipment. A clear leader in automation systems applications, North York General and Automated Logic continues to partner on achieving substantial savings in terms of overall operating costs.
